Undergraduate thesis project for the York University/Sheridan College Design program

This series of photographs is a recreation of still life paintings, using garbage-based sculptures in place of the fruits and other produce present in the painting. The juxtaposition identifies the value we place on food today, where one quarter of all produce in North America is thrown out because of unrealistic cosmetic ideals, compared to hundred of years ago.
